Red Clay Dance Company presents 16, a bold and transformative concert blending Chicago dance excellence with Artivism. Part of the Dance Center of Columbia College’s 51st season, this program features the world premiere of a new work by award-winning choreographer Bebe Miller and the reimagining of Written on the Flesh by Vershawn Sanders-Ward. Together, these works explore equity, identity, and resilience through the power of movement.

As we celebrate the kickoff of our 16th Season, we invite you to indulge in a night of enchantment dedicated to raising awareness and funds for our mission-driven work both on and off the stage.

As we continue to build the legacy and impact of Red Clay Dance Company, we maintain our tradition of honoring an individual from our community who is not only a phenomenal arts advocate, but a true shapeshifter and creator of culture with our 2024 Culture Creator Award. This year’s awardee is a cultural leader and former Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Erin Harkey.

Save the Date for the fourth annual Chicago Live! Festival, September 21 and 22, 2024. Showcasing Chicago’s vibrant arts and cultural organizations, Red Clay Dance Company joins more than 110 participating artists and organizations performing Pier-wide across three stages.

SEPTEMBER 14 & 19, 2024

Join Red Clay Dance Company for two special community events leading up to our Chicago Live performance! On September 14th, dive into the vibrant world of House dance with D’Roc in an open-level class. On September 19th, witness an exclusive peek of our rehearsal process where you can meet the company and learn about our story.
