MARDI GRAS IN JULY KICK-OFF CELEBRATION

Mardi Gras In July is a FREE family friendly event and kickoff celebration of our 15FORWARD Anniversary Season! Not always credited, but Mobile, Alabama, is not only the birthplace of our founder and inspiration for the company's name, but it’s also the birthplace of Mardi Gras. In celebration of Red Clay Dance Company’s 15-year investment and commitment to bringing high quality arts experiences to Chicago, we are planning a day full of family fun! Mardi Gras In July features a sidewalk Mardi Gras parade down 63rd St, music, food trucks, stilt walkers, face painting, and free dance classes!

The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) hosts its 34th Annual International Conference and Festival of Blacks in Dance – Can't Turn You Loose: A Love Letter to Black Dance– in Memphis, Tennessee from January 24- 28, 2024, in partnership with Collage Dance Collective. Red Clay Dance Company performs on Friday night in the Established Artists Performance: Groove Supreme, a Rhythm Renaissance.

LA FEMME DANCE FESTIVAL

La Femme Dance Festival is a 3-day celebration of women in dance that brings choreographic works created by women of the Black/African Diaspora to Chicago audiences. This year's festival kicks off with an opening reception on March 14th at the Arts Club of Chicago, a masterclass at the Red Clay Dance Center for Excellence on Friday, March 15th, and the main stage performance on March 16th at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance featuring the award winning Touring Company of Red Clay Dance!
